Is It Monday Already?

Heelllloooooooo!!!!!
Happy Monday to you all, it is officially spring!!
This weekend flew by so fast!!
I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the beautiful birthday wishes for my daughter! She LOVED reading them and we had a great weekend together shopping, eating, talking and just hanging out.
I just can't believe that she is officially a teenager now!!

Please forgive me for not getting back to you, we were very busy this weekend and still have LOTS to do this week. I love connecting with all of you and try my best to do so.

We picked up our floors on Thursday night and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday my dad and my hubby installed them.

I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!

ALOT!!!!!!!

Here is where we were on Saturday.

My dad and hubby worked up until the time we all went to dinner to celebrates my daughters birthday. Then when we got home hubby and I finished up the remainder that night then hubby started filling in gaps on Sunday.

We still have some more gaps to fill in, quarter round to put in, repainting some areas that got a little scratched up and I still need to paint a couple tables this week.

I am so happy that we went with the darker color, we are really happy with it. Only problem is now I would love to have this through the kitchen as well!! :)

Hubby told me that is so not happening!!! I kind of figured that would be the answer! :)

Here is a little sneak peak of the floors in the hallway.

It has been raining here all day today (so much better than snow) so my pictures are not that great.

Don't you worry, I will be back later to show you more when I have things put back together and the weather cooperates! :)

This is also on my to-do list this week:

This picture reminds me how much I don't like that light.

Have a great week my wonderful friend!!

Hugs!

Your floors look fabulous Michelle. So exciting. Our floating floor is still all pulled up. It's amazing how much it affects the whole look of a room.

Your floor looks great! I am also loving your gray hutch I see in the last pic! I am trying to find the perfect gray for my desk/vanity right now...

I am so glad you had a fun birthday weekend with your daughter and family! My son is going to be ten this August, so we are already planning the big entering-the-double-digits party;)

My daughter is feeling much better (she had RSV). I think that getting out in the fresh (if chilly) air was exactly what she (and I) needed. She is an outdoor kid for sure. Thank you for your well wishes on my post!

So exciting. I can't wait to see. Our ugly light fixture that belongs in a garage seems to be broken. It might be my chance for a new one, but I know my husband will want it to put out tons of light like the ugly one does. What are you going to get?

They look wonderful! They look like the same wood floors we had picked out to purchase last year. Then my Hubby suprisingly(no notice) got laid off his job so we didn't get them. Since then I have decided I want lighter, like driftwood, but I don't know...your dark wood looks so good. I know that I do not want an oak...nothing with the hint of gold in it. Are your floors real wood or laminate? I long for the day when we can pull up all the carpet!!!

Hi Michelle,
JEALOUS!!! jealous of your ambitious Hubby and dad for getting you hooked up with some wood flooring. My last house was all wood floors and limestone pavers :) now! I am in our home that we will sell in about a year and a 1/2 so I am not going to put the money into making the changes I would do given I would stay longer :)

Thank you for your beautiful visit and comment that made my day!!!
See you soon, cannot wait to see the total out come of your cottage cove room when all is in place, and you have added those special treasured finds just where you want to show them off most :)

Love that room girl it is truely a room to love now!!!

Lookin' good Michelle! I love the Hallway table vignette too! Can't wait to see the final reveal. I don't know where you get the energy. I have felt so tired lately, but just from working too much, which doesn't leave much time for nesting. It's been pouring on and off here too, thunder storms. Stay warm, and dry, xoxo tami
